HERMON – Kenneth W. Light, 59, died July 9, 2006, at a local nursing home. He was born May 3, 1947, in Hermon, the son of Kenneth and Irene Light. Kenneth was a life member of the Hermon Fire and Rescue, Levant Fire and Rescue made many contributions to the Levant Grange. His many interests included fishing, snowmobiling and the senior bus trips. He will be remembered most for his love of cooking. He had many friendships in Levant, Hermon, Stetson and Glenburn. He is survived by one sister, Dianne and Duane O. Stevenson of Amherst; one niece, Laurie and her husband, Craig Rice, of Amherst and their children, Joel Rice and his girlfriend, Melissa Murphy, of Amherst, Craig P. and Barbara Rice and their sons, Cody and Carter of Etna; two nephews, Gene Stevenson of Vancouver, Wash. and Duane A. Stevenson of Aurora and his children, Aric and Cole Stevenson of Aurora, Crystal Stevenson of Wallkill, N.Y.; one aunt, Eleanor McDonald of Hermon, many cousins, including his special cousins; the Scripture sisters, Dottie Allen, Sharon Nickerson and Marilyn Barrett of Boise, Idaho. Ken’s family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. Private internment will be in the family lot at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers to please make donations to both the Levant and Hermon Fire and Rescue.
