STETSON – Lance H. Nye, 39, died Feb. 11, 2005, at his home in Stetson surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sept. 21, 1965, in Bangor, the son of Gerald A. and Janice E. (Halliday) Nye. Lance was self employed in the roofing business and loved harness racing as an active life long member of the United States Trotting Association. In addition to his mother he is survived by his loving wife, Denise (Connolly) Nye of Stetson; children, Lance Jr., Amber, Nicole, Michael, Courtney; brothers, Brett Nye, and wife, Lynn, Derrick Nye, and wife, Debra, Shawn Nye, and wife, Bobbi; nieces and nephews, Brett Jr., Joey, Chris, Brittany, Kate; father-in-law, Joseph Connolly, and wife, Susan; mother-in-law, Jane Sherry, and husband, Mike; brothers-in-law, Dennis and Darren Connolly; an uncle, Ronnie Cropley, and wife, Jane; an aunt, Helen Hatch; several cousins, and a special thanks to Bernard Fournier. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. David Ray, pastor of the Stetson Union Church, officiating.
