ORONO – Lawrence Harriman Moore, 86, husband of the late Madeline (Chase) Moore, died June 28, 2005, at a Howland healthcare facility. He was born, May 20, 1919, in Grand Falls Plt., the son of Roscoe and Yansie (Harriman) Moore. Lawrence was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps serving as a sergeant during World War II. He enjoyed planting flowers and going out to eat. He is survived by a son, Melbern Moore of Hinesberg, Vt.; a daughter, Janet Spencer of Passadumkeag; three stepchildren, Annette Oxley of Eddington, June Gunter and Jack Kelley, both of New Brunswick; two brothers, Atwood Moore of Lincoln and Irving Moore of Carmel; six grandsons; three great-granddaughters; five great-grandsons; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2005, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Eddington. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
