DEDHAM – Leatrice Mae Gilley, 76, died Jan. 10, 2007, in Clinton, Md. She was born Jan. 17, 1930, in West Tremont, the oldest daughter of Milton and Zulma (Wentworth) Walls. Leatrice enjoyed making quilts for sale, as well as for every new baby born into the family. She supported her family in all of their endeavors and was very proud of their accomplishments. Her home was open to all who needed her. She loved gardening and being outdoors. She was an active and contributing member of the Dedham Congregational Church. She is survived by sons, Milton of Oxon Hill, Md., and Earl and Emery of Dedham, Hugh of Tremont; daughter, Pollyanna Gilley of Orland; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grand-children; brothers, Leroy of Ashland, Frank of Otter Creek, Alonzo and William of Florida, Edgar of Seal Harbor and Milton of Bar Harbor; sisters, Jean of Halls Quarry and Wilma and Ida of Ellsworth. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl; and son, Malcolm. A graveside service will be held at Granite Cemetery, North Orland, in the spring, after a service at the Dedham Congregational Church.
