LEVANT – Lemont C. Pullen, 87, husband of the late Dorothy (Robison) Pullen, died Nov. 17, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Jan. 31, 1918, in Kenduskeag, the son of Ervin and Amy (Taylor) Pullen. Mont was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a life member of the Hampden VFW. In 1946, Mont founded L.C. Pullen Electrician where he proudly served and cared for, with impeccable work, honesty, and integrity, 16 local schools as well as numerous families and area businesses. He was a 62-year member of the Kenduskeag Lodge No. 137 AF & AM of Kenduskeag, Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Bangor, Maine Consistory 32nd degree, Anah Shriners, and The Good Samaritan Chapter No. 138 OES of Kenduskeag. He loved his family, enjoyed gardening and in more recent years watching the deer graze in his field. He will be sadly missed by his family and all those he touched. Surviving are two sons, Ervin Pullen and his wife, Rita, of Elyria, Ohio, Robert Pullen and his wife, Doreen, of Levant; a daughter, Ann Watson and her husband, Richard, of Levant; nine grandchildren, Cheryl Navalinsky and her husband, David, Michael Pullen and his wife, Shannon, Deborah Bailey and her husband, John, Sandra Patton and her husband, Kevin, David Pullen, Scott Pullen and his wife, Tricia, Brent Pullen and his wife, Michelle, Michelle Pullen and her friend, Dave, and Kimberly Hawes and her husband, Mark; nine great-grandchildren, Clyde Navalinsky, Margot Pullen, Marty and Owen Bailey, Brady Pullen, Madison and Brock Pullen and Tyler and Parker Hawes; sisters, Eleanor Beckwith, Virginia Sodermark and her husband, James, Rita Houston and her husband, Liston, Ethlyn Gass, Clairie McClure; sisters-in-law, Elaine Pullen and Mildred Morong; brother, Gordon Pullen; and Mont’s special friend, Sheila Martin. He was predeceased by his wife, Dot, who died in 1997; brothers, William, Raymond and George; sisters, Alma, and Shirley; sisters-in-law, Joanne Pullen and Sylvia Pullen; brothers-in-law, John Gass, James McClure, Omar Adams, and Lawrence Page. Friends are welcome to call 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where relatives and friends are invited to a Masonic Service at 6:30 p.m. conducted by the officers of Kenduskeag Lodge. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, at Brookings-Smith, with the Rev. Matthew Ward, pastor of the Charleston Pentecostal Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Kenduskeag Village Cemetery.
