BANGOR and PORTLAND – Lenore Forgione Miller passed away Aug. 28, 2005, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born Aug. 27, 1923, in South Portland, a daughter of Antonio and Consiglia (Romano) Forgione. She graduated from Portland High School and Portland Business College. During the World War II years, she was employed at New England Shipyard and later at Maine Hardware and Amatos Sandwich Shop in Portland. She is survived by her husband, Preston, of Bangor; sons, Preston R. Miller of Beacon Hill, Boston and his wife, Carol and their children, Alexandra and Matthew, Dr. Anthony C. Miller of Auburn and his wife, Barbara, and their children, Amy and Robert. Also surviving are sisters, Annette Davis of Bangor and Geneva Weinsoff and her husband, Hyman, of Hull, Mass; niece, Anne Davis Griffin and her husband, Malcolm, of Bangor; niece, Jeanne Emmick and her husband, Frank, of Nashua, N.H.; and numerous other nieces and nephews. A private visitation will be held at Foley Funeral Home for the family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at St. John’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Rudolph Leveille officiating. Interment with committal prayers will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
