LEO EDWARD BISHOP BANGOR – Leo E. Bishop, 82, died unexpectedly March 20, 2008, at his home. He was born Sept. 25, 1925, in Old Town, the son of Francis J. and Frances (Nadeau) Bishop. Leo was a well-known roofer, employed for many years by Al Roberge Sheet Metal and Roofing Co., Bangor and in more recent years, as a school crossing guide for Seaboard Security, Brewer. Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Eleanor E. (Fletcher) Bishop of Bangor; his daughters, Judy and Frances; two brothers, James Bishop of Brewer and Lawrence “Butch” Bishop of Hermon; nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Beth Berry and her family of Presque Isle. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 24, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Clayton Blackstone officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 10 a.m. Monday until time of service.
