MILBRIDGE – Leona Farnsworth, 90, passed away Feb. 14, 2008, at Narraguagus Bay Health Care Facility, Milbridge, after a brief illness. She was born March 6, 1917, in Milbridge, the daughter of the late Earl and Maude (Hovey) Farnsworth. She is survived her nephew, Vernon Norton and wife, Nancy, of Steuben; many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Andrew and Henry Cushing, Ruth Yerrick, Grace Garnett, Jennie Strout and Vena Chipman; and longtime companion, Perce King. Per Leona’s wishes there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ark Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 276, Cherryfield, ME 04622.
