CARMEL – Leona P. Hall, 87, wife of the late Ronald L. Hall, died Aug. 6, 2007, at an Orono health care center. She was born March 27, 1920, in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, the daughter of Warden and Bernice MacDonald. Leona was raised in New Brunswick, where she graduated from high school. She lived in Carmel most of her life with her loving husband of 53 years and together raised their family, whom she dearly loved. She was a proud member of the South Levant Baptist Church and a member of the Etna/Dixmont Grange, Ladies Aide and the cooperative extension for many years. Leona also enjoyed her flowers and time spent dining out. She leaves behind three loving children, Dwayne L. Hall and his wife, Donna, of Holden, Jennifer R. Hall of Bangor and Larry W. Hall and his wife, Sandy, of Levant; two grandchildren, Suzanne M. Hall of Bangor and Christopher L. Hall and his wife, Julie, of Old Town; a great-grand-daughter, Ciyenna Hall of Old Town; a special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Sears of Hartland; several nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, four brothers and one sister. Her family especially thanks the loving staff of Orono Commons. A funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer, where family and friends may visit 2 p.m. until the service begins. The Rev. Marvin Overlock will preside and burial will be at North Carmel Cemetery, Horseback Road, Carmel.
