LITTLETON – Leonard C. Kneeland, 84, died Feb. 13, 2008, at a local hospital. He was born March 11, 1923, in Monticello, the son of Calvin H. and Inez (Folsom) Kneeland. Leonard served in the U.S. Naval Air Corp during World War II and worked for civil ser-vice at Loring Air Force Base as an electrician until his retirement. Leonard was a member of Lake Road Bible Church, where he was past deacon on the expansion committee and loved working with the youth group and AWANA group. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting, fishing and building a camp with his kids. Family was very important to him. Leonard is survived by his wife, Iola (Watson) Kneeland of Littleton; one daughter, Andrea Kervin and her husband, Mike, of Winterport; one son, Lory Kneeland and his wife, Julie, of Pomfret Center, Conn.; four grandchildren, Kristie Reese, Matthew Kervin, Nathan Knee-land and Melanie Kneeland; three great-grandchildren, Kay-lie Reese, Michael Kervin and Elizabeth Kervin; one brother, Philip Kneeland; one sister, Hazel Ackley, both of Corinth; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and three brothers, Willis, Wendell and Malcolm. Friends may call 12:30 p.m. until the time of service 1 p.m. Sunday at Lake Road Bible Church with Pastor Carl DeMerchant officiating. Interment will be at Littleton Cemetery in the spring.
