BUCKSPORT – Leslie William Rediker, 84, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, with his loving family by his side, at home. He was born March 12, 1924, the son of William and Dora (Bull) Rediker. Les spent many enjoyable hours fishing at the pond on the property where he lived, with his daughter and son-in-law. He also found enjoyment in mowing the lawn and doing chores around the farm. Les is survived by his children, Linwood Rediker and his wife, Joyce, of New Haven, Conn., Sherrice Skillins and her husband, Terry, and Lynette Grindle and her husband, Gary, all of Bucksport, six grandchildren and two great-grand-children. He is also survived by two sisters, Ivy Fogg of Bangor and Becky Lothrop of Gardiner; as well as one brother, William Rediker Jr. of Belfast. Les is also survived by his faithful canine companion, Mulligan. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mertie (Pinkham) Rediker. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to Dr. Karl Liebermann and Hancock County Hospice for their dedicated and compassionate care of Les. At Leslie’s request, there will be no services.
