FORT KENT – Lester Nadeau, 87, died March 16, 2006, at a Madawaska health care facility. He was born Dec. 6, 1918, the son of Henry and Rose (Jandreau) Nadeau. Lester served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the VFW Lozier O’Grady Post No. 9609 of Fort Kent and the American Legion of St. Francis. He is survived by his wife, Velma Nadeau; and her son, Joel Labbe, both of Fort Kent; two sisters, Beatrice Gagnon of Florida, and Kathleen Johnson of Skowhegan. In addition to both parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Loucienne Mathew. Lester will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Friends may call 8 a.m. Monday until time of service at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home in Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial, with full military honors, will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent.
