CARIBOU – Lewis A. Corey, 75, beloved husband of the late Nadine A. (Williams) Corey, died Nov. 30, 2004, at a Bangor hospital, after a brief illness. He was born at Lawrence, Mass., April 28, 1929, the son of Faris A. and Stella K. (Corey) Corey. A longtime Caribou resident, Lewis was a chef and a restaurant owner. He was employed for 18 years as a chef at Loring Air Force Base. He also owned several area restaurants including King of Pizza in Madawaska and most notably Green Acres in Caribou. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Caribou, the Henry B. Pratt Post American Legion of Caribou and the Presque Isle Elks Club. He is survived by one daughter, Mary Dawn Corey of South Berwick and a very special grandson, Benjamin Sullivan Corey of South Berwick. He was predeceased by his wife, Dec. 12, 2001, his mother on May 19, 2003, and by his father, and a brother, Lionel Corey and a sister, Rita Hitchcock. Family and friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou, Me. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2004, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Caribou, with Fr. Jean Paul LaBrie, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Lyndon Cemetery, Caribou.
