HOULTON – Lillian B. Nickerson, 92, died June 6, 2005, at a local healthcare facility. She was born July 9, 1912, at Woodland, the daughter of Rankin and Grace (Withee) Stitham. Lillian’s great joy was her family and friends, all who knew her loved her dearly. She is survived by her husband, Claude Nickerson of Houlton; her children, Geraldine McAfee and her husband, John, of Houlton, Rose Blight and her husband, Jim, of Florida, Michael C. Nickerson and his wife, Joan, of New Gloucester; Blaine L. Nickerson and his wife, Debbie, of Houlton; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She also leaves the loving and caring staff at Gardiner Nursing Home. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Dunn Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Randall Burns, officiating. Interment will be in the Hodgdon Cemetery.
