BELFAST – Lillian Holland, 73, of Belfast passed away on Friday, July 23, 2004, at a Belfast healthcare facility. She was born Nov. 12, 1930, in Cliffside Park, N.J., the daughter of Daniel and Lillian (Larsen) Robbins and was raised in Stonington. Lillian was a deacon of the First Baptist Church and a member of the church choir, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 43, and a member of TOPS Chapter 42. She loved to volunteer wherever she could and was a volunteer at the hospital and the Chamber of Commerce for many years. She was a school cook for MSAD 34 for 27 years. Lillian also like to shop and crochet and sold Avon products for many years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Christine; and a grandson, Travis Flagg. Lillian is survived by her husband of 55 years, Corliss Holland; her children, Glenn and wife, Cathy, of Belfast, Sheila Dassatt and husband, Mike, of Belfast; grandchildren, Andrea Holland of Southport, Ed Holland of Belfast, and Christy Perce and husband, Murray, of New Castle; two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Kaden; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jane Spear. Friends are invited to attend the visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, at the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the First Baptist Church, High Street, Belfast, with the Rev. Ken Parker officiating.
