WINN – Lillian M. Priest, 84, wife of David Priest, died June 28, 2005, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born July 23, 1920, in Lowell, the daughter of Vernon L. Bowers Sr. and Bernice (Douglass) Bowers. Lillian knitted all of her life. Toward the end of her life the mittens that she knitted were multi-colored as she used up all the yarn she had. When she laid down her needles, her yarn was all gone. She worked at the post office in Winn. She was a genealogist and family historian and was active in the Stewart M. Lord Historical Society of Burlington. In addition to her husband of nearly 65 years, David, of Winn; she is survived by two sons, David C. Priest Jr. and his wife, Diane, of Milford and Ronald L. Priest and his wife, Cynthia, of Lincoln; two sisters, Avis Noyes of Lee and Lucretia Leen of Florida; two brothers, Vernon Bowers Jr. of Lincoln and Glendon Bowers of Burlington; a sister-in-law, Virginia Watson of Florida; four grandchildren, Amanda Benoit of Saco, Kate Hutchins of Bangor and their mother, Roberta Priest; Aaron Priest of Lee and Benjamin Priest of Lincoln; four great-grand-children; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Linwood and Leeman; two grand-daughters, Heather and April. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2005, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln, with the Rev. Glenn Speed officiating. Interment will be in South Winn Cemetery.
