WOODLAND – Lillian V. Rossignol, 81, wife of the late John B. Rossignol, died Oct. 6, 2006, at a Caribou health care facility after a long illness. She was born July 7, 1925, in Woodland, the daughter of Jeremiah and Carrie (Libby) Skidgel. Lillian was a member of the First Baptist Church, Woodland, where she was also a member of the Mission Circle. She was also a member of the Woodland Historical Society. Lillian was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family. She is survived by two sons, Larry Rossignol of Woodland and Bryant Rossignol and his wife, Carla, of Washburn; one daughter, Millicen Smith and her husband, Randy, of Long Island, N.Y.; four brothers, Cecil Skidgel of Greenwood, S.C., Melvin Skidgel of Topeka, Kan., Thomas and Edwin Skidgel, both of Woodland; one sister, Barbara Johndro of Limestone; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Lillian was predeceased by a daughter, Judith McDougal; three brothers, Edgar, Vernon and Stanley Skidgel; and by four sisters, Catherine Peters, Hazel Dickson, Thelma Ouellette and Helen Underwood. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9, at the chapel of Mockler Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Rossier, pastor, officiating. Interment will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou.
