DIXMONT – Linda M. Bernard, 54, died Jan. 7, 2007, at a Bangor hospital as the result of an automobile accident. She was born April 3, 1952, in Hartland, a daughter of William and Dorothy (Wright) Garnett Sr. She attended the Baxter School for the Deaf. She is survived by her fiance, Peter Coppa of Dixmont; three sons, Paul and wife, Corinne Garnett, of Toledo, Ohio, Ron and wife, AmandaValli, of Dexter and Stanley Bernard of Dixmont; a daughter, Rose Bernard of Sangerville; a brother, Clarence Garnett of Detroit; four sisters, Mary Seaver of Hartland, Ellma Giles of Corinna, Ella Adams of Florida, and Jennie McDougal of St. Albans; nine grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Walley Adams of New Hampshire; two sisters-in-law, Connie Garnett of Dexter and Yvonne Garnett of Palermo; aunt and uncle, Annie and Paul Shepherd of Cherryfield; and her special dog, Coco. She was predeceased by four brothers, William Jr., Russell, Stanley and Keith Garnett. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12. Spring burial will be at Palmyra Village Cemetery.
