LINCOLN – Lloyd George Trott, 81, died Dec. 9, 2007, at Penobscot Valley Medical Center after a short ill-ness. He was born Oct. 19, 1926, in Lincoln, the son of Ivan “Tony” and Velma (Hanscom) Trott. He served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific during World War II. He worked in the papermill for 40 years. Lloyd was a member of American Legion Post No. 77. He was predeceased by his first wife, Rita Rideout Trott Stratton; and his second wife, Nora Godbyn Trott; sisters, Irene Webster and Eleanor Blanchard; and brothers, Bertrand, Vinal, Reginal and Robert. Lloyd was the youngest of nine children. Lloyd is survived by five children, Rhonda Hall and husband, Bruce, Belinda Sleeper and husband, Howard, Lloyd Trott Jr. and wife, Barbara, Steven Trott and wife, Gail, and Mark Trott and wife, Debbie; his sisters, Charlotte Nichols and Ann Bouchard; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be announced in the spring. Arrangements are under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
