SWANVILLE – Loren E. Roberts Sr., 59, of Swanville, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004. Born in Belfast, Jan. 24, 1944, he was the son of Dennis E. and Evelyn L. Clements Roberts Sr. He was married to Glenda Greeley, Sept. 24, 1960, in Belfast. Loren worked in the construction business most of his life. He belonged to the Northport Ridge Riders, was a Scout Master for Troop 27 for 18 years and volunteered at the Pine Tree Camp for Crippled Children doing fund raisers and spending time with the kids. He enjoyed snowmobiling and camping. He loved his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Glenda of 43 years; four children, Loren and Cheryl Roberts Jr. of Swanville, Tamie and Merl Reed of Swanville, Fred and Debbie Roberts of Fairfield, Jeff and Tammy Roberts of Swanville; one sister, Joyce and David Tibbetts of Swanville; one brother, Dennis and Nancy Roberts Jr. of Swanville; seven grandchildren, Amanda Roberts, Matt Warren, Ashley Roberts, Jennifer Roberts, Bryan Warren, Ryan Roberts, Seth Roberts and many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and a granddaughter, Natasha Joy Roberts in 1981. Visitation will be held 12-1 p.m. Friday Jan 23, 2004 at the Rackliffe Funeral Home, 54 Church St., Belfast.
