HOWLAND – Loretta (Haverlock) Bernard, 77, passed away May 28, 2008, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born Feb. 11, 1931, in Howland, daughter of Peter and Isabelle Haverlock. Loretta is survived by her husband of 55 years, Francis Bernard; her daughter, Linda Stanley and Robert of Lincoln; four sons, Francis and Lisa of Howland, Randy and Laurie of Haverlock, N.C., Danny and Robin of Raleigh, N.C., and Tim of Rochester, N.H.; daughter-in-law, Kari Bernard of Enfield; two sisters, Jennie Leigh-ton and Bud of Lincoln and Rosemary Glidden of Howland; a brother, Genie Haverlock and Eileen of Tolland, Conn.; a bro-ther-in-law, Harold Sherwood of Howland; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Andy; four sisters, Martha Sherwood, Marilyn Grace Kreta and Andrew, Geneva Pinkham and Howard, and Irene Haverlock; and a brother-in-law, Bernard Glidden. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 2 p.m. Friday at St. Leo Catholic Church with the Rev. Leroy Landry presiding. Interment will be at St. Matthew’s Cemetery, West Enfield. There will be a gathering after the service in the basement of the church.
