BANGOR – Loring M. Salls Sr., 74, died April 28, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. He was born June 10, 1929, in Glenburn, the son of Merritt A. and Bula A. (Fitz) Salls. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Anna M. Salls; seven sons, Loring Salls Jr. and his wife, Mona, of Bangor, Lawrence Salls of Bangor, John Salls of Brewer, Joseph Salls and his wife, Michelle, of Hudson, David Salls of Bangor, Kerry Salls and his wife, Darnell, of Brewer, Daniel Salls of Bangor; one daughter, Betty Coffin and her husband, Joseph, of Orrington; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son, Philip Salls in 2001; two sisters, Eleanor Rubbico and Vera Small; one brother, John Salls. A service of remembrance will be held 1 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2004, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Kenneth Davenport, pastor of the Bucksport Church of God, officiating. Interment will be in Kenduskeag Village Cemetery later in the spring.
