OLD TOWN – Lorna Louise Young, 73, died March 16, 2004, at an Orono healthcare facility. She was born July 8, 1930, in Old Town, the daughter of Guy and Vivian (Alexander) Ellingwood. Lorna enjoyed knitting, crocheting and especially spending time with family. She is survived by five sons, Sonny Young of Saranac Lake, N.Y., Keith Young of Orlando, Fla., Kendall Young of Enfield, Conn., Theron Young of Portugal, Steve Young of Barre, Vt.; two stepsons, Wade Young of Milford, and Wayne Young of Lincoln; 20 grandchildren, four great-grand-children, three sisters, Sharon Young of Alton, Regina Michaud of Bradford, Valeria McKenney of Lowell; three brothers, Dewey Ellingwood of Milford, Sonny Ellingwood of Old Town, Guy Ellingwood Jr. of Cobool, Mo.; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one infant brother, Dale Ellingwood; and a sister, Katherine McCloud. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2004, at Brookings-Smith, Old Town Chapel, 205 Main St., Old Town, with the Rev. Bruce Stevens, pastor of United Baptist Church of Old Town, officiating. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service. Spring interment will be in Milford Cemetery.
