LORRAINE R. WHITE CARIBOU – Lorraine R. White, 71, died Sept. 6, 2008, in Caribou, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Nov. 4, 1936, in Caribou, the daughter of Armand and Ida (Guerrette) Fournier. She was educated in the Caribou school system. Lor-raine owned and operated a custodial service for 30 years. Prior to that, she was a cook for the Caribou school system and also worked at DoDo’s market. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she was also a member of Daughters of Isabella. Lor-raine waged a long battle with breast cancer. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family. She found great pleasure in watching and supporting all of her beloved grandchildren, while they were participating in a variety of activities and hobbies. She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox. Everyone who met Lor-raine was drawn to her kind and compassionate ways, and loved her sense of humor. Lor-raine married Vaughn White, April 3, 1954. Surviving in addition to her husband of Caribou, are three daughters, Debra White of Caribou, Susie Schloeman of Caribou and her children, Ryan Schloeman, Erin Graves and her husband, Evan, Jane White-Killcollins and her husband, Robert, of Fort Fairfield and their children, Robert R., Brock and Alyssa; two brothers, Ray-mond Fournier and his wife, Leenie, of Manchester, Conn., and Franklin Fournier and his wife, Arlene, of Caribou; four sisters, Dolores Sperry, Doreen McCarthy, Marlene Habeeb and her husband, Ken, all of Caribou and Rachel Bauer and her husband, Dave, of Columbus, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Lena Fournier of Connor; a brother-in-law, Lloyd White and his wife, Florence, of Westfield, Mass.; several nieces and nep-hews; an uncle, Leopold Four-nier and his wife, Therese, of Auburn; an aunt, Yvette Desjardins; and many special fri-ends. She was predeceased by a brother, Rocky Fournier; and two brothers-in-law, Gardiner Sperry and Gus McCarthy. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Aaron Damboise officiating in a Mass of Christian burial. Friends may call 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church to meet with the family. Interment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends are invited for a time of fellowship and refreshments after the committal services at Sacred Heart Parish Hall.
