ELLSWORTH – Louis I. Hatch, 84, died Saturday, March 31, 2007, after a long illness. Born Oct. 14, 1922, in Bangor, he was the first child of Harold and Margaret Hatch. Over the years, he worked for The Bangor House, DiCenzo Construction and the U.S. Postal Service. An avid skier and golfer, Louis was a long-time member of the Penobscot County Club and the Bucksport Golf Club. He was also a member of St. Joseph’s Parish, Ellsworth. Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth, he is survived by sisters, Josephine Ross of Hampden and Teresa Hatch of Winterport; brother, John Hatch of Niceville, Fla., and a number of nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ells-worth, with the Rev. Scott Mower, pastor, celebrant.
