BELFAST – Louis Joseph Piso, 75, passed away Friday, July 28, 2006, at his home. He was born May 26, 1931, and raised in Framingham, Mass., the son of Charles and Angelina (Sarno) Piso. Louis attended Framingham High School and was a Framingham police officer for 30 years and served as the firearms and swat team instructor. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, where he was wounded in action three times and received two Purple Hearts. He moved to Maine in 1988 and to Belfast in 1998. He enjoyed target shooting and swimming in the ocean. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Sam, Charlie and Frank Piso; his sisters, Angela Corbet and Florence Stefanini. Louis is survived by his wife of 23 years, Pauline (Perry) Piso of Belfast; sons, William Piso of Framingham, Mass. and Frank Piso of Millis, Mass.; eight stepchildren; 16 grandchildren; five great-grand-children; brothers, John Piso of Framingham, Mass. and Anthony Piso of Stow, Mass.; and his sisters, Mary Bianchino of Framingham, Mass. and Rockina Piso of Framingham, Mass. Visiting hours will be held 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at the Norton Funeral Home, Framingham, Mass. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Tarcisius Church, Framingham, Mass. Local arrangements are under the care of the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
