PRESQUE ISLE – Louise A. Curran, 83, died Nov. 6, 2003, at a local hospital. She was born August 26, 1920, in Woodland, the daughter of George D. and Clara (Newbegin) Jackson. Mrs. Curran was employed at Winnies Dairy Bar for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford Curran in 1999. She is survived by four sons, Lawrence M. Grendell and his wife, Gerri, of Spanaway, Wash., Robert E. Grendell and his wife, Patty, of Mill Creek, Wash., Wayne C. Curran and his wife, Linda, of Auburn, Wash., Sandy Curran and his wife, Molly, of Easton; four sisters, Rowena Maynard of Washburn, Dorothy Dean of Jaffery, N.H., Mildred Dean of Presque Isle, Lillian Hutengs of Woodstock Valley, Conn.; one brother, George Jackson Jr. of Carmel; 17 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; two special sisters-in-law, Ella Grendell and Josephine Newbegin of Caribou; many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered by a very special friend, Susan Bradstreet of Presque Isle. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle with the Pastor Bob Blackstone officiating. Friends and relatives may call from 12 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle.
