LOUISE CECILE (AYOTTE) EMOND MERIDEN, Conn., and ST. AGATHA – Louise Cecile (Ayotte) Emond, 61, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008. She died at Masonic Healthcare Center, Wallingford, Conn., with her family at her side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 8, 1946, in St. Agatha, the daughter of Leonide and Clorinthe (Theriault) Ayotte. Louise graduated from St. Agatha High School in 1964. She moved to Connecticut and was employed in the Wallingford area until she became ill. She was known as an extremely dedicated and hard worker throughout her years of employment. She was a parishioner of Saint Laurent Catholic Church, Meriden, Conn. Her family was the center of her life and in recent years, her grandchildren brought her the greatest joy in life. She treasured having them at her home during her last summer. In addition to her parents of St. Agatha, Louise is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Joseph Eudo Emond of Meriden, Conn.; one son, Michael Emond of Derby, Conn.; one daughter, Cindy and her husband, Joey Fuller, of Homosassa, Fla.; two very precious grandchildren, Derek and Alyssa Fuller of Homosassa, Fla.; five brothers, Lucien Ayotte and his wife, Joyce, Maurice Ayotte, Leo James Ayotte, Jean Guy Ayotte, and Roland Ayotte and his wife, Linda, all of St. Agatha; one sister, Fernande and her husband, Francis Desjardins, of St. Agatha; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no viewing at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, St. Agatha, with the Rev. Philip Cyr officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at St. Agatha Lower Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha.
