PORTLAND – Louise “Kay” Sullivan, 91, died peacefully Thursday, May 27, 2004, surrounded by her family at Pine Point Manor, Scarborough. She was born in Lubec, Dec. 2, 1912, a daughter of Reginald Meredith and Margaret Yorke Cheney. She graduated from Lubec High School and from the former Shaw’s Business College. Mrs. Sullivan had been the secretary at Sullivan Photo from 1941-1997. She was a long time member of Central Square Baptist Church, member of Deering Chapter No. 59, Order of Eastern Star, and a member of the Salvation Army Golden Age Group. She was a loyal and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, enjoyed her flower garden, camping at Moxie and traveling throughout New England with her husband in the “Cessna”. Her husband, Darrell Sullivan died in 1978. She is survived by one son, Norman Lee Sullivan of Gorham; one daughter, Jeanine E. Sullivan Musteikis of Raymond; one sister, Pearl Choquette of Southington, Conn.; one brother, Bernard Cheney of Machias; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday from Evergreen Cemetery, Stevens Avenue, Portland. The Rev. Daryl Lavway will officiate. Deering Chapter No. 59 will conduct ritualistic services at the cemetery. Arrangements are by Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland. Relatives and friends please meet at the cemetery office.
