PORTLAND – Louise Larrivee Fitzgerald, 80, resident of Northfield Green in Portland died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004, at St. Joseph’s Manor in Portland. She was born Oct. 15, 1923, in Bangor, a daughter of Frank W. and Neva (Grindle) Warren. She was one of 10 children. She attended schools in Bar Harbor and graduated from Bar Harbor High School. Mrs. Fitzgerald had worked as a department manager at Sears & Roebuck for several years until her retirement in 1969. She was a member of the Foster Grandparent program for seven years at the Riverton School in Portland. She was predeceased by her first husband, Hugh M. Butler Sr.; her second husband, Leo Larrivee and her third husband, Laurence Fitzgerald; two sisters, Iris Hayes and Joanne Leach; and three brothers, Ora “Bud” Warren, William “Bill” Warren and Frank Handy. She is survived by two sons, Ray and his wife, Dorothy Butler, of Marlborough, Mass., Hugh M. Jr. and his wife, Loraine Butler, of Portland; two daughters, Susan “Mary” Atwood of Old Orchard Beach, Joyce and her husband, Franklin Steer, of Windham; two brothers, Harold “Sonny” Warren of Vinalhaven, Philip Warren of Bucksport; two sisters, Arlene McAllen of Portland, Onalee “Bonny” Hopkins of Bass Harbor; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 10 stepgrandchildren. Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Phil Shearman officiating. A graveside interment service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the Woodbine Cemetery, Ellsworth. Should friends desire memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Manor, 1133 Washington Avenue, Portland, ME 04103 in Mrs. Fitzgerald’s memory.
