CARIBOU – Louise St. John, 98, wife of the late Leopold St. John, went to the Lord, Feb. 11, 2005, at a Caribou healthcare facility, surrounded by her family, following a long illness. She was born Jan. 7, 1907 at Lille, the daughter of Joseph and Florene (Chabre) Lavoie. Louise was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she was also a life member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She is survived by a son, Clifford St. John; two daughters, Patricia Porrini of Terryville, Conn. and Arlene Shoup of Jacksonville, Ark.; two brothers, Eddie Lavoie of Caribou, and Wilford Lavoie of Bristol, Conn.; two sisters, Germaine Toutain of Manchester, Conn. and Jean Sutherland of Caribou; three daughters-in-law, Pearl M. St. John of Terryville, Conn., Delores St. John of East Hartford, Conn. and Olive St. John of Caribou: 29 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great grandchildren. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Monday, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street Caribou, Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with the Fr. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating in a Mass of Christian Burial. Spring interment will take place in the Old Holy Rosary Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mrs. St. John may do so through the Holy Rosary Church Building Fund. Envelopes may be obtained through the funeral home
