CARIBOU – Louise St. John, 98, wife of the late Leopold St. John, went to the Lord, Feb. 11, 2005, at a Caribou healthcare facility, surrounded by her family, following a long illness. She was born Jan. 7, 1907 at Lille, the daughter of Joseph and Florene (Chabre) Lavoie. Louise was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she was also a life member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She is survived by a son, Clifford St. John; two daughters, Patricia Porrini of Terryville, Conn. and Arlene Shoup of Jacksonville, Ark.; two brothers, Eddie Lavoie of Caribou, and Wilford Lavoie of Bristol, Conn.; two sisters, Germaine Toutain of Manchester, Conn. and Jean Sutherland of Caribou; three daughters-in-law, Pearl M. St. John of Terryville, Conn., Delores St. John of East Hartford, Conn. and Olive St. John of Caribou: 29 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great grandchildren. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Monday, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street Caribou, Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with the Fr. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating in a Mass of Christian Burial. Spring interment will take place in the Old Holy Rosary Cemetery.
