ST. AGATHA – Lucien Armand Desrosier, 81, passed away Sept. 19, 2007, at a Frenchville nursing home. He was born July 30, 1926, in St. Agatha, the son of Walter and Modeste (Guerrette) Desrosier, and son of Philip and Annette (Ouellette) Guerrette. He was a loving husband, grandfather and great-grand-father with a strong work ethic. He worked at Fraser’s for 32 years, without missing one day of work due to illness, but always a farmer at heart. Vacation time was to work in the potato fields. He served 27 years as an officer at St. Agatha Federal Credit Union and more than 20 years as a director on the board of St. Agathe Historical Society. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Constance (Morin) Desrosier; six sons, Philip and his wife, Ruth, of Branford, Conn., Robert and his wife, Mona, of Clair, New Brunswick, Edward and special friend, Mike, of Tarpon Springs, Fla., Dennis of St. Agatha, Walter and his wife, Helen, of Madawaska, and William and his wife, Angelica, of Leegomery, England; three daughters, Jeanne and her husband, Gilman Michaud, of Madawaska, Francine and her husband, Guy Ouellette Sr., of Tolland, Conn., and Mary and her husband, Richard Pelletier, of Frenchville; 22 grandchildren, Philip Jr., Allison, Veronique, Nathalie, Monica, Benjamin, Jill, Lance Cpl. Carissa, Guy Jr., Chantal, Aimee Ann, Mathew, Nicole, Tracy, Christopher, Adam, Nathan, Dante, Saskia, Michael Jr., Wendy and Renee; 10 great-grandchildren, Shiva, Dylan, Nathan, Alexandre, Melissa, Christopher, Hailey, Justin, Cameron and Collin; five brothers, Louis Philip Desrosier and his wife, Noreen, of South Windsor, Conn., Clifford Guerrette and his wife, Therese, of St. Agatha, Bertrand Guerrette and his wife, Barbara, of Rockerville, Conn., Roland Guerrette of St. Agatha, and Armand Guerrette and his wife, Maxine; seven sisters, Florence Petit and her husband, Donald, of Camp Verde, Ariz., Evelyn Beaulieu of Biddeford, Rolande Morneault of Sarasota, Fla., Joan and her husband, Gerald Thibeault, of Fort Kent, Therese and her husband, David Dubois, of Plainville, Conn., Mary Ann and her husband, Robert Paradis, of Plainville, Conn., and Dorothy Guerrette of St. Agatha; a brother-in-law, Joseph Morin of St. David; a sister-in-law, Sylvia Guerrette of Enfield, Conn.; a daughter-in-law, Linda Desrosier of St. Agatha; numerous, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents; and stepmother, Yvonne Desrosier; a son, Maurice; brothers, Rosaire Desrosier, Robert Guerrette and Louis Guerrette; and sisters, Cecile Morin and Lorraine Pelletier. Friends and relatives may call 6-8 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Agatha Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard Ouellette officiating. Burial will be at St. Agatha Upper Cemetery. For those who desire, donations may be made to charities of their choice, the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Agathe Historical Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
