LINCOLN – Lyndon Eugene Fogg, 87, husband of Barbara (Jipson) Fogg, died Jan. 29, 2005, at a Lincoln healthcare facility. He was born Sept. 6, 1917, in East Winn, the son of Melvin and Mae (Hanscom) Fogg. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, from which he was discharged May 2, 1946. Affectionately known around town as “Uncle Lyndon,” he worked at Lincoln Pulp & Paper for 40 years, retiring Jan. 1, 1982. Lyndon was a member of the Lincoln Fire Department for more than 50 years, and a Master Mason at Horeb Lodge No. 93, AF & AM for 50 plus years. He had been a member of Anah Temple Shrine since June 18, 1977. He enjoyed camping and the hunting camp (The Ponderosa) in Burlington. In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by a daughter, Claudette Bean and her husband, Christopher, of Skowhegan; a son, Jeffrey Fogg and his wife, Cynthia, of Lincoln; four grandchildren, Amy (Bean) Kelliher, Lynn Bean-Ingram, Desiree Fogg and Dustin Fogg; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, during which time a Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 7:30. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Seth Avery and the Rev. Jack Stewart officiating. Spring interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
