OLD TOWN and ORONO – Marguerite (Morin) Bradford, 80, died Monday, Aug 22, 2005, at Dirigo Pines, Orono, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Feb. 25, 1925, in Old Town, a daughter of Clement and Frances (Beaulieu) Morin. She was a 1942 graduate of Old Town High School. She was deputy tax collector for the city of Old Town for many years, and retired as a secretary from the University of Maine, Orono, in 1986. Marguerite loved designing and creating outfits for herself, family members, and friends. She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Morrison of Orono, and Pauline Willette and her husband, Michael, of Sabattus; a son, Royce Morrison and his wife, Nancy, of Otis; two brothers, Robert Morin and his wife, Lois, and Donald Morin and his wife, Patricia, all of Old Town; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Floyd Bradford; and her sister, Helen Brissette. At her request, all services will be private. The family wishes to extend their gratefulness to the many friends, relatives, New Hope Hospice, and Dirigo Pines for the care and compassion shown to Marguerite. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Hope Hospice, P.O. Box 757, Holden ME 04429. Interment will be at Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town.
