HOULTON – Madeline Bernadette Henderson, passed away peacefully Dec. 22, 2006, at a local health care facility after a period of ill health. She was born Sept. 8, 1923, in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Francis and Annie Breaks Sacobie. Madeline was an accomplished seamstress, avid knitter and enjoyed doing challenging jigsaw puzzles. She had a keen wit and great sense of humor. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Candace Henderson of Florida, her daughter, Sandra Belair of Dayton, Ohio; and her son, Anthony Polchies of First Nation, New Brunswick; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; also a very special niece, Gail Prince of Fredericton, New Brunswick. She will be fondly remembered by her special friends, Gail and Tom Brown and Bridget and Mark Woodward. She was predeceased by her son, Russell. Very special thanks to the special care given to Madeline at Crestview Manor, Houlton. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Canadian time, Thursday, Dec. 28, at St. Gertrude’s Church, Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada.
