LIMESTONE – Madeline (Johndro) Voisine, 93, wife of the late Adrian Voisine, passed away Friday morning, Oct. 22, 2004, at a Caribou healthcare facility, following a brief illness. She was born Nov. 14, 1910, at Limestone, the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Pelletier) Johndro. Madeline attended Limestone schools and was married to Adrian Voisine March 4, 1946. She was a communicant of the St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, having earned her 50 year membership. Mrs. Voisine was known as a “Mother to Many” and Grammy “Neen” to everyone else. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Voisine was predeceased by her husband of 49 years on March 8, 1995; four brothers, Henry, Hugh, Ernest and Sylvio Johndro; two sisters, Mamie Johndro Barnes, Beatrice Van Kuren; and one special niece, Evarista “Ris” Kessler. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, D. Alan and Lynn Voisine of Cross Lake, Greg A. and Patti Voisine of Fort Fairfield, P. Wayne and Gloria Voisine of Colechester, Conn.; one daughter, M. Andrea Pelletier of Caribou; one special niece, Gloria Obar and her husband, Phil “Wimp,” of Limestone; one brother, Robert Johndro of South Windsor, Conn.; one sister and brother-in-law, Mable and Leo Landry of Scarborough; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchild-ren, many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where evening vigil prays will be recited at 7:30 p.m. by the Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie. Friends may also call at the funeral home Monday, Oct. 25 from 8:30 a.m. until the time of departure for the St. Louis Catholic Church, Main Street, Limestone, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie celebrant. Interment will follow at the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Limestone. A time of fellowship will be held at the St. Louis Catholic Church immediately following the interment service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in memory of Mrs. Voisine to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
