WINTERPORT – Madeline “Ginger” Virginia Bryand, 84, the loving wife of Raymond Bryand Sr., died Oct. 31, 2006, at their home. Ginger was born June 8, 1922, in Cranston, R.I., the daughter of the late William and Gladys Burns. Ginger enjoyed many pastimes; cribbage with her husband Ray, pinochle games, crossword puzzles and always a good book. She enjoyed watching the variety of birds at the feeder and marveled at the uniqueness and grace of the hummingbird. Her positive outlook on life was contagious. Yet her passion and sincerity was always found by the water; relaxing or swimming. Her gracefulness of a swimmer will never be forgotten. She was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Burns of Warwich, R.I. Ginger is survived by her husband, Raymond Bryand Sr.; sons, Raymond Jr. and William Bryand; special daughters-in-law, Joanne and Paula; daughter and special son-in-law, Patricia and Michael Trask; sister, Marie and husband, Bill Harnois; her sister-in-law, Winifred Burns; nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Rusty Trask, Doug and Sara Trask, Christy and Vinnie Dinardo, Paul Trask, Ray and Jessica Bryand, Kim and Bob Bowen, Cindy and Jeff Clark, Rhonda and Bob Robbins, Deborah Bryand, Cara and Suzi Bryand; and 21 great-grandchildren blessed this lady. For them she knit, hugged and shared her chocolates and candy corn. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at St. Francis Cemetery, Waterville.
