HOULTON – Marcia Ann Cummings, 91, died Aug. 12, 2008, at a local health care facility, with her daughter, Mary, at her side. She was born April 18, 1917, in Linneus, the daughter of Frank and Annie (Knox) Byron. Marcia was a member of Houlton United Methodist Church. She loved to cook for her family and friends and enjoyed picnics at Drews Lake. Marcia is survived by two sons, Paul Cummings and his wife, Annie, of Hopkinville, Ky., and David Cummings and his wife, Sandra, of Alexander; one daughter, Mary Cummings of Houlton; five grandchildren, the Rev. Larry Hostetter, Sandra Vandell, Dee Damron, Lee Cummings and Ben Crandall; four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Josh Andrew, Jeff and Wesley; one sister, Millicent Bolyls of Keene, N.H.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond; and five brothers, Vaughn and Orie Byron, Hudson, Manzel and Charlie Cole. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Dunn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Naomi Sam’Kpakra officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
