LINCOLN – Marcia V. Grattan passed away peacefully, Sept. 15, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Nov. 26, 1946, in Springfield, the daughter of Susie (Davis) and Orris Spencer. Marcia was a 1965 graduate of Lee Academy. She loved gardening, knitting, crafting and taking pictures of her favorite places to visit: Mount Katahdin and Schoodic Point. She was a member of Veazie Congregational Church, where she was on the trustee and missions committees. She had many wonderful and loving friends from the Veazie church and a special, life-long friend, Donna King, whom she loved dearly. She will be lovingly remembered most for her dedication and devotion to her family. Marcia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Melvin; her parents; a brother, Phillip; and a sister, Gail. She is survived by her brothers, Clifford and Carroll of Springfield, Avon and wife, Kathy, of North Carolina, Dale and wife, Beulah, of Dixmont, and Dana of Gardiner; a sister, Lottie and husband, Blake; nieces, Lauralee, Barbara, Vickie and husband, Doug, Debbie, and Shannon and husband, Terri; great-nieces and great-nephews, Blake Marie, Marie and husband, Mark, Ron and wife, Ginger, Samantha, Doug-las and Brooke; and great-great-nephew and great-great-niece, Timmy and Daisey. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Lincoln Cemetery with the Rev. Patricia Moore officiating.
