ENFIELD – Margaret Ann Thomas, 79, wife of the late Raymond Thomas Sr., died March 20, 2004, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born May 19, 1924, in Roebling, N.J., the daughter of Elizabeth Corinne (Fowler) Marshall and Adam Hamilton Marshall. Margaret was the matriarch of the family. She ruled with a wooden spoon, but really had a soft heart. She loved everyone and was quite the social butterfly. She is survived by four children, Raymond Jr., and his wife, Karen, of Patten, Carolyn Nagy and her husband, Joseph, of Enfield, Robert M. of Howland, and James A. of Lincoln; a brother, James T. Marshall and his wife, Peggy, of Burlington, N.J.; a sister, Kyma Dawn Tilton and her husband, LeRoy, of Lincoln; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Raymond, she was predeceased by a sister, Ruth “Mudge” Veino. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Carolyn Metzler officiating. Interment will be in Town Line Hill Cemetery, later in the spring.
