WASHBURN and OAKLAND Margaret (Bates) Young, 73, wife of the late Herschel R. Young, died July 23, 2007, at a Waterville hospital. She was born Feb. 3, 1934, in Jackson, the daughter of Harry and Alice (Carr) Bates. She is survived by her significant other, Woodrow Williams of Oakland; four children, Lorriane (Young) Drost and her husband, Adrian, of Washburn, Allen H. Young and his wife, Susan, of Nashua, N.H., Elaine (Young) Moody and her husband, Greg, of Presque Isle, and Wendy (Young) Breault and her husband, Gary, of Lewiston; four grandchildren, Twaila-Jo (Drost) Ginn, Katherine Moody, Reed Moody and Chad Young; three great-grandchildren, Jessicca Johnson, Zachary Johnson and Sierra Ginn; a half brother, Raymond Williams. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Chatfield. A graveside service for family and friends will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 27, at Crouseville Cemetery with the Rev.
