MARGARET I. GILLEY BUCKSPORT – Margaret I. Gilley, 84, died peacefully March 23, 2008, with her daughter at her side, at a Bangor hospital. She was born May 9, 1923, in Portland, the daughter of Arthur and Opal (Snowman) Roi. Margaret was a member of Order of Eastern Star. She always enjoyed the company of friends and relatives, whether playing cards or listening to the bands at the Senior Citizen Center. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Jeanne Arnoldy and her husband, Richard, of Rothschild, Wis.; two granddaughters, Courtney Arnoldy and her husband, Zachary Bloom, of Waunakee, Wis., and Renea Wrecke and her husband, Douglas, of Hart-land, Wis.; one great-grand-son, Cormac “Mac” Robert Wrecke of Hartland, Wis.; two sisters, Jeanne Flannery and her husband, Edward, of Orland and Patricia “Tippy” Gross and her husband, Alton, of Bucksport; one brother, Douglas Snowman and his wife, Charlotte, of Orland; two brothers-in-law, John Kennedy of Orland and Lionel Harvey of Verona Island; one sister-in-law, Delores Roi of Orland; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Malcolm “Mac” Gilley, in 1996; two brothers and three sisters, Vincent Roi, Catherine Kennedy, Robert Roi, Molly LeClair and Sandra Harvey. Margaret’s family would like to express sincere appreciation to all those who watched over her in the last 10 years of her life. Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 27, at Orland United Methodist Church, Orland, with Pastor Jan Rhenow officiating.
