MERIDEN, Conn. – Margaret (Martin) Albert, 83, of Meriden, Conn., wife of the late Willie Albert, died Thursday morning, Dec. 16, 2004, at MidState Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born June 17, 1921, in Eagle Lake, the daughter of the late Paul and Elodie (Laferriere) Martin. She had resided in Meriden for more than 30 years and attended schools in Maine. Mrs. Albert was employed by International Silver Co., retiring in 1981. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She is survived by five daughters, Priscilla Bates of Southington, Conn., Arlene Santoni, Pauline Wilson, and Sandra Gade, all of Meriden, Conn., and Maxine Tate of Wallingford, Conn.; two sons, Paul Albert and Raymond Albert, both of Sherman; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grand-children; one brother, Leonard Martin of Wisconsin; also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Donald Albert; a daughter, Rena Hazlett; six sisters, and four brothers. The funeral will be held 9:15 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, and at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday, Dec.17.
