GLENBURN – Margaret M. Maher, 87, died Feb. 6, 2006, at a Bangor healthcare facility after a short illness. She was born July 7, 1918, in Atlantic City, N.J., the daughter of Simon and Zarefe (Daher) Sabbagh. Margaret was a lifetime member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor. She enjoyed her friends of the Glenburn Goodtimes Club, going on trips, playing cards and socializing. Margaret also enjoyed her Tuesdays, at the Sunny Gables Senior Citizen’s Home, enjoying Meals for ME and seeing her friends. She enjoyed cooking Syrian dishes for her family. Her family was her life and she will be dearly missed. Margaret is survived by a son, Kenneth Maher of Hampden; a daughter, Bernadette Rudnicki and husband, Jim, of Glenburn; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Maher of Florida; four grandchildren, Joe Maher and wife, Jayda, Karen Maher, Andy Rudnicki and wife, Lauren and Tom Rudnicki; two great-grandchildren, Ethan Rudnicki, Ivy Maher; an unborn great-grandchild; and special friends, Cathy Simpson, Susan Tringale, Arlene Rowe, Bob Daniels and Kristin Ramby. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Louis J. Maher in 1997; and by a son, Louis John Maher in 1960. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb 9, at St. Jude’s Chapel of St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor, with the Very Rev. Richard McLaughlin, celebrant. Spring interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Glenburn. A service of Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St, Bangor.
