MARIE JULIETTE ‘WINONA’ BAKER OLD TOWN – Winona Baker, 87, died Dec. 18, 2003, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Sept. 23, 1916, in Old Town, a daughter of Moses and Mabel (Thompson) Brissette. She was employed in area shoe factories for more than 30 years and also at Zayres Dept. Store prior to retiring. She is survived by two sons, Lee Baker Jr. and Kevin C. Baker and his wife, Wendy, of England; three grandchildren, Brittany Baker; Corey and Mark Baker of England; two great-grandchildren, Ellie May and Dylan James Baker of England; two brothers, David Brissette of Old Town and Wilfred “Franklin” Brissette of Old Town. She was predeceased by three brothers, Francis “Bucky” Brissette, James “Sonny” Brissette, George “Pete” Brissette; two sisters, Doreen Faso and Lorraine McGovern.
