BREWER – Marie O. Wedge, daughter of the late Peter N. and Bertha (Long) Wedge, died Nov. 11, 2003, in Bangor. She was born Jan. 19, 1926, in Brewer. Marie graduated from Brewer High School in 1943, and trained as a registered nurse at the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mass. She was a communicant of St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Brewer, where she was also a member of St. Joseph Altar Rosary. She enjoyed traveling, the beach, golf, sports and was an avid reader. Surviving are one sister, Rose Ellen Paul of Scituate, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Peter J. and John C. Wedge. At Marie’s request, there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Brewer. Friends are welcome. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor. Arrangements by Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer.
