CARMEL – Marilyn E. St. Louis, died peacefully, Jan. 7, 2008, at a local nursing home, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Carmel, the daughter of John B. and Mildred A. Marilyn was a devoted mother and friend to all of her children. She looked forward to each change of the season, so that she could fill her freezer and fill up the pantry with what the season had to offer. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching her birds, crocheting, caring for her flowers, talking politics, reading and spending time with her family. Most of all she enjoyed cooking. She was always eager to try a new recipe and share it with her children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald “Ducky,” in 1986; her parents; her sister, Elsie Hand; and two brothers, Norbert and John. She is survived and lovingly remembered by sons, Donald and his wife, Jane, of Carmel, David and his wife, Bonnie, of Newport, Joseph of Tevaris, Fla., Tommy and his wife, Cindy, of Carmel, Scott and his wife, Dale, of Brewer, and Brian and his wife, Becky, of Carmel; daughters, Judy Buck and her husband, Max, of Carmel, Terrie Martin and her husband, Ricky, of Carmel, and Susan Thibodeau and her husband, Kevin, of Hermon; a stepdaughter, Patty Winchester of Kenduskeag; 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dianne Mitchell and her husband, Dale, of Newport; and a brother, Kevan Hand and his wife, Marie, of Carmel.
