BLAINE – Marilyn J. Dearborn, 74, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, at a Mars Hill healthcare facility. She was born April 5, 1930, in Mars Hill, the daughter of Darrell and Nettie (Bowers) McCrum. Marilyn was a graduate of A.C.I. and was married to her husband, Fred, on July 15, 1954. Marilyn was a longtime member of the United Baptist Church in Mars Hill and was very active with Missionary Harvesters. She loved to cook, entertain, and travel. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Fred Dearborn of Blaine; a son, Garth, his wife, Viki, of Glenburn and their children, Jeremy, Tory, and Cala; a daughter, Jane Rattray, her husband, Jeff, of Leominster, Mass., and their children, Jessica, Joni, Janelle, and Joel; two sisters, Florence Grass of Mars Hill and Phyllis Looke of Addison; a sister-in-law, Connie McCrum of Presque Isle; several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a special cousin, Adra Kearney of Hudson, Mass. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Stuart and Dana McCrum; and a sister, Yvonne Bubar. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday at the United Baptist Church in Mars Hill, with the Rev. Mark Hartley officiating. Interment will take place following the service at East Blaine Cemetery in Blaine.
