MILFORD – Marilyn L. Cote, 71, died peacefully Feb. 9, 2006, at her residence, following a long battle with cancer with family and a special friend, Donna Jordan who helped care for her by her side. She was born May 30, 1934, in Corinth, a daughter of Clarence and Edith (Minor) Strout. She was a 1952, graduate of Corinth Academy. Marilyn enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and she loved to play cards. She was employed at Bangor Shoe for 11 years then Paul’s Restaurant for 23 years. She is survived by her beloved husband, Freeman; a son, Kimothy Spinney of Corinth; a stepdaughter, Barbara Cote of Bangor; and stepson, David Cote, address unknown; a brother, Joseph “Tuddy” Strout of Corinth; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends and her three canine companions. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Elizabeth Rodgers. At her request there will be no visiting hours. A graveside service at Forest Hill Cemetery will be announced in the spring. Freeman invites friends and family to gather today, Saturday, Feb. 11, at his home, 729 County Rd., Milford. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Eastern Maine, P.O.
