PRESQUE ISLE – Marion E. Thibodeau, 84, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died peacefully Jan. 22, 2005, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Oct. 12, 1920, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Walter and Mary (Sanderson) Butler. She was a communicant of St Mary’s Catholic Church in Presque Isle. Dedicating the majority of her adult life to helping others, she worked for many years in the nursing profession for Presque Isle Nursing Home, TAMC, Visiting Nurses of Aroostook and Hospice of Aroostook. She enjoyed first and foremost her family and grandchildren, working in her flowers, exercising at Curves and playing with her Siamese cat, Nicky. She is survived by a brother, Fred Butler and his wife, Mary, of Palm Desert, Calif.; four sons and their wives, Robert and Robyn of Reynella, South Australia, Ron and Claire of Caribou, Jim and Lorraine of Milford, N.H.; and Mike and Cindy of Presque Isle; seven grandchildren, David, Charles, Danny, Wendy, Jacob, Emily and Caroline; a special great-granddaughter, Natalie Rose; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, John Thibodeau; her parents, Walter and Mary Butler; her brother, Clarence Butler; and a special great-grandson, Ethan Daniel Thibodeau. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Main Street, with the Rev. Alfred Irving celebrant.
